FIFTEEN MINUTES ON THE TRAIN

Few days back I was travelling from Nagpur to Delhi by Rajdhani Express. The train had started late by an hour. I had to wait at Nagpur Railway station for more than three hours. I entered the train and sat on the upper seat. It was a 3AC compartment. I wanted lower seat but it was not available when I booked the ticket 15 days back. I never liked waiting for something but sometimes in life you don't have an option. All was well in the compartment. There was no noise. Everything was being served time to time. I was able to see the difference in Railway services in the course of few years.
After the dinner I was surfing Internet when I saw that two IRCTC PERSONNELS who had served us were asking for money from the passengers. I knew they would come to me. They were arguing if the passenger paid less than hundred rupees. No passenger could avoid it. When they came to me, and asked for money, I asked how much. One of them said, sir give 500-600. I offered him 50 rupees even if he was asking 100 rupees. Both of them moved to the another passenger who was in deep sleep and and made him wake up and asked for money. That passenger paid without any reservation. In the meantime I was shooting that incident unknown to them. I didn't know why I was doing that but I did it.
I tried to sleep when it was over but couldn't. I didn't like the way those people were asking for money from the passengers. I logged in on twitter and posted the complaint at the official twitter handle of Indian Railway. They replied me instantly which was a pleasant surprise. I provided them all the details with the photo also. In the next five minutes some railway officers came and enquired. I told them everything. One of the officers asked that staff to return my money but I said, Return the money of all the passengers first and give me at the end. They did it. All these things happened in span of 15 minutes. The incident offered me a sense of satisfaction. I did not know when I slept and woke up when Delhi was nearby. Other IRCTC staff smiled at me when I was getting down.

No government initiative can help us unless we become conscious and follow it. We are the people who can fight if the right things don't happen. (See the screen shots of the conversation)
